9 weeks and Counting

Well another wonderful week, or at least for me nic, has passed by. We didn't do a whole lot this week just school and work. Caitlin seems to be doing better and not quite as sick as she has been. This coming Tuesday will mark 9 weeks so that is pretty exciting, that means that hopefully she only has a couple of weeks before she should be feeling a lot better according to the doctor. Other than that the only thing that happened was that i played a little football yesterday with some friends and then Caitlin and i went to watch the heritage parade were the herd 1000 sheep and 3 missionaries down our main street. It was pretty Funny to watch.

Our Baby's first picture

To the side here is the first ultrasound picture we have of our new baby that is 6 weeks and 6 days along. There was a heartbeat of 146 which is excellent and everything looks like it is going good. Only words of encouragement from the doctor. Caitlin is getting a little less nauseated by the day which is good. Below is a Video of the ultrasound and the baby's heartbeat. Just press play at the bottom left corner to listen

Where to Begin

Well since the last time that I wrote a whole lot of stuff has happened. First thing that happened is Caitlin and myself started going back to school. Following the first week of school Rochelle got married to a gentleman name Micheal. Me and Caitlin were getting ready to go to Las Vegas when we found out that Caitlin is pregnant. That was on the 22nd of september. The following day we made a trip to the hospital to make sure everything was ok. We found out that she is about 5 weeks along. Since then we haven't done a whole lot other than we had a family reunion in vegas this weekend and just got home like 10 mins ago. Life goes on.... OUR FIRST ULTRASOUND IS TOMORROW, so we will find out if everything is still going good and hopefully get an official due date.

Tuesday, August 21, 2007

Well within the next week we will be lucky enough to go back to school, hopefully. The first day will be the 27 of Aug but will not know about our grants and loans till the following Friday. We were able to go and have some fun in California. We started by going to the

Huntington Gardens in S. Pasadena which was a lot of fun and 100% relaxing. To be able to enjoy all the different beauties of the green earth..........At the garden there was also a couple of museums that we were able to go to and learn more about our forefathers that settled this country.

We then went to Dodger stadium to watch as the D-Backs and Dodgers fought for firstplace in their division. For what it was it was not all too exciting until in the 8th inning the D-backs put in Clark their best first baseman. He got up to the plate and slammed a home run right down the third base line leading the D-Backs to victory.

We got up early the next day to go down to Redondo Beach and relaxed the day away on the sand and yes, I ,Nic did play a little in the waves.

We spent the last two days of our vacation at Disneyland and going to the Jay Leno show. While at Disneyland we had the park hopper which allowed us to go back and forth to Disneyland and Ccalifornia Adventure. Our favorite ride of the day had to be Hollywood Tower of Terror, it looked pretty whimpy but surprised both of us when it pretty much threw both of us up out of our seats. ( it was FUN!!!!!!!!!!). Other rides we enjoyed were Soarin Over California, Indiana Jones, Haunted Mansion, and Pirates only to name a few. The day was fun filled to say the least.

Life goes on as if it were perfect yet i know that it is not,
sometimes i get mad and at time i seem to get quite hot,
i know one thing is for sure,
i wouldn't mind finding a cure,
a cure to help the sick,
to help those with cancer enjoy, if only a bit, a nice picnic,
so many time i am left to wonder,
why is my wife all asunder,
yet one thing is perfectly clear,
i love her and with nothing to fear,
will go on to live with her forever,
and ever!

Nothing new

well another week or two has passed. Caitlin and i are still alive and we are trying our best to keep it that way. so you know i hate the fact the people are so sue happy, while at work there were a couple of girls that broke down in the drive through and growing up with parents that taught me the first things to check i thought that i would run out check the battery cables and alternator and some other things.....but while i was on my way out my boss stopped me and said we can't afford the liability. turns out it was the cables. That is about the top of the news from us. these next couple weeks may be busy with all the pow wows and Shakespearean festival and Utah summer games.......so if i don't write don't be surprised.

VEGAS

So I think that Caitlin and I will just say it finally..........no we aren't having a baby.......Las Vegas is like our permanent retreat when we want to get out of cedar city. We had the chance to go there yet again. We acted as chofers for Mr and Mrs McDonald.....Cait's mom and dad. It was fun and we got to go and see a lot of cool things. I think my favorite part was probably the stratosphere tower. that is one heck of a view. we all fad a good time and even got cait's mom to snort like 6 times. i will try to get some picts up sometime.

What a good Weekend, I Guess

Well this weekend went pretty well, for the most part. The only thing i would have changed is the fact that i had to work. I don't think you can even call it a weekend when you have to work it. But enough of the pity party for me.....on Friday around 745 we had some friends come down for graduation and to spend stay a time with us. It was great and we had a lot of fun. 5 of our friends have finished their degrees and received diplomas on Saturday and we had the privilege of going to one of the many ceremonies held. It was fun. the best part.....it only lasted for one hour. We spent some more time with our friends and then everyone went home by 930 yesterday morning. now it is back to the two of us and back to no work and all or..... i mean all work and no play.

Time does FLY!!!!

it has been a while since we last wrote, so here what has happened since almost a month ago. We are following the advice of church leaders and finally getting out of debt completely. We have started with our credit cards and used our tax returns to pay most of them. Caitlin is almost done with another semester of school and finals are this week. It's gonna be stessful i can feel it now. Work is work and the only difference is that caitlin is getting a few extra hours at work so that will help to pay everything off. Did i mention kera and jeremy and their family came down this last weekend. they let us know at the last minute but we were still able to go and spend some quality time with them. Well until next time

Family

So this past weekend all of Nic's family came up to say goodbye to Kera and Jeremy who are leaving to move to Idaho later this week. It was a good time. They got here late friday night after Nic and I finished helping my boss at work with a crazy friday night.Which was good cuz Nic made like 30 dollars in tips and i made about 14 for just being there. On saturday was conference which neither of us saw because we had to work:( .Nic spent the afternoon with his family while I was at work, then we spent sometime together before he had the priesthood session of conference and before i went and spent some time with my dad before he left. We went and saw blades of glory. which by the way was hysterical! you should all go see it! then later that night i was once again with my adorable hubby and his family. Then on sunday the whole family was at our place to have breakfast and watch the first session of conference together. Then after that we went up to Kanarraville Falls and took some family pictures in camo. They turned out great. I will be putting those up later. After that we came back at about 4 so we ended up missing the last session of conference. Then we all went over to Kera and Jeremys to eat some dinner then Nic's family had to leave. It was a tearful goodbye for them because it will be a very long time before they see them and their grandkids again. Then Nic and I left to come home and spend sometime together. Both of us wishing that we were going to Mexico this week and not next week! oh well! well thats about it for now in our little family. till next time, enjoy the new pictures!

SNOW AGAIN

Well after having like 2 weeks were the weather was almost to good to believe, we once again have snow on the ground. Not a whole lot of it stuck to the roads but the snow has been falling for the entire day. Work was unusually slow today with the snow and also the fact that wednesday is the slowest day of the week. Caitlin was bored so she went to the local candy store and got me some of my favorite candy..........., peanut brittle!!
Played a little racketball tonight and like every wednesday night i was the target all night long. kelly a good friend of mine hit me hard enough in the knee to drop me to the ground. Now that we are home back to cleaning to finish everything for this weekend when the family comes up.

This is the most recent picture of caitlin and I. We were taking pictures to start a family tree of pictures for my mother and father's 25 anniversary.

MEXICO

Well nothing much is happening to our little family of two. We have both finally gotten jobs that we both like and also that aren't two bad on benfits. I am working for wellsfargo and love just about every minute of it and caitlin is working for Pier 49 Pizza, a sourdough pizza place. We both stay pretty buzy especially when caitlin is also taking a full schedule of classes.
While I was at work I got a call from my grandma and she asked if we could go down to mexico with them on the 11-14 of april. So i went to ask my boss if it would be possible to get those days of and she said sure. She gabbed her calander and and began writing Nic PTO. So I asked if I was going to get paid time off to go, she replied,"yes you get 15 days paid time off starting the day of the 23, which is one month since i have been working at wells fargo. It is nice to have PTO but i am not sure how i will use all the time that i am alotted. In case someone who reads this wants to know, no we are not expecting anytime soon. If it happens it happens and we have decided that god knows best and when it is time he will bless us with an edition to our family.
